Double ka Meeta/ Bread Halwa ~ Indian Sweet Dish

 
              Its Been Ages since I tasted Sweet. So I decided to Make Rich sweet with Lot of Seasonings...  Such times calls for Rich Heavy Mouth Watering Puddings...   When I Peeped into My Pantry Left over Bread Slices are Looking at me and making Sweety Whispers to my Heart to Make use of them...
     

             So I Decided to make Bread Halwa also called Double Ka Meetha/ Bread Pudding....  



                This can be made by Pooling Pan Fried Bread Pieces in Sweet Sugar Syrup by adding some Flavours and Seasonings.





Preparation Time: 20 min
Serves - 5 people




Ingredients:

Bread Loaf - 1 or 12 pieces
Sugar - 2 cups (Increase or Decrease as Per your Sweet Palate)
Water - 1 cup
Boiled Low Fat Milk - 1cup
Cardamom/Elachi powder - 1tbsp.
Chopped and Roasted Nuts In Ghee (Almonds,Cashew nuts, Raisins) - 1 cup all together.
Ghee /Clarified Butter - 3/4th to 1 cup.

Method:

1. Heat 1/2 Cup of Ghee in Frying Pan Meanwhile Tear Bread into Tiny Pieces. When Ghee Melts add these White Snowy Pieces toss them till they Turn into Golden Brown.

2. In a Thick Bottom Vessel pour and Heat Sugar and Water together till Sugar Melts.

3. Turn off the Flame Add Grounded Cardamom/Elachi Powder.Stir it once.

4. Now add Fried Bread Pieces,Milk to the Syrup. Mix Well Make sure That all the Bread Pieces Becomes Mashy while Stirring.Leave some Lumps of Bread while Mixing. This will Gives you Softy Texture and You can Feel th Bread Pieces While Eating.... Simmer for about 5min so that Bread Can infuse all those Flavors and Sugar Syrup.

5. For Extra Savoriness Add Roasted Nuts as Toppings.... And Turn off the Flame.










     

                 Can be Served Luke Warm / Chill.... I prefer to eat chill as when it gets Refrigerated sweetness of the Dish will Increase....



       Best Dish for unexpected Guests.....can be made in a Jiffy...
